Mattel showed off some great pieces in their DC Universe and Batman lines. First, as it's the 75th Anniversary of DC, Mattel has many figures planned of some of DC's oldest characters. All are fully poseable and will be released a few at a time over the coming months for the rest of the year. These looks really great and are a cheap, yet very nice alternative to the DC Direct 75th Anniversary figures.
Mattel's Batman figures focus on the new Batman: The Brave and the Bold TV series and have lots of action toys. Featuring a Batman, Batmobile, and Batbot, each of these figures comes with a weapon, be it a rocket launcher, a cross-bow, etc, and each weapon is interchangeable between all of the figures in the line. Also, the neat Batbot opens itself up to reveal a large chamber of missles ready to be deployed upon any and all enemies in the way. Also, the first release of the Batbot will come with an exclusive DVD containing an unaired Brave and the Bold episode included in the packaging.
While most of these toys are aimed at a younger crowd, there are definitely some fun goodies here that anyone can enjoy, and the 75th Anniversary figures look really great and can be enjoyed by all.
