Tomopop Review: Stuffed Robot's Mellowtron
by Rio McCarthy on 02/21/2009 1 comments

Stuffed Robot's Mellowtron has been rescued from from the barren warehouse, and has now joined the insanity of a toy collector. When this adorable plush robot first arrived in the mail I immediately gave him a great big hug. He has definitely warmed my heart, and hopes to do the same for you!

Hit the jump to see what my full thoughts were on this mellow robot!

One of the first things I noticed, was that the box they even shipped Mellowtron in was pretty neat! It was just a normal cardboard box, but had their logo nicely printed on it.

Mellowtron was bundled up in a clear bag along with quite a few goodies. There was a Certificate of Individuality, a Story of the Mellowtrons booklet, a sticker and two postcards. There was even a page that you can cut out a papercraft Mellowtron as well!

Mellowtron likes to just hang out and chill, so he decided to take a load off on top of my screen. His long arms and legs are fun to pose, and they can be wrapped around objects to make it able to hang onto things. They're kind of a slick surface and are stuffed, just like the main body.

He seems to get along well with other robots as well, especially a certain green one. He's actually quite tall, as the main body is a little over 15 inches tall, and with the legs he's a massive 31 inches tall!

Although his facial expression didn't change, he sure did seem to like going outside. He seems to be the perfect companion to take on a walk, or just have a chat with. You'll just want to be sure to keep him out of the rain!

There were 100 Mellowtron made in total, and mine happens to be #30. When deciding which number to pick I definitely had a tough decision about me. Then I decided since it's the 30th anniversary of both Michael Jackson's Off The Wall album and The Jacksons' Destiny album I had my decision made, no matter how nerdy of a decision that may have been. His description was "I just didn't fit in." which made me realize I had definitely made the right choice, and now he definitely fits in.

About half of the robots still happen to be left over at Stuffed Robot's store, but I would definitely say this is the best $35 you could spend on a robot plush. I haven't been so absolutely thrilled when receiving a plush in a long time, so I would suggest you pick one up for sure. You will definitely get the bang for your buck!
