God, I love impulse buys! There I was in Toys R Us looking for some Transformers when what do I find on the bottom shelf behind the Bakugan magazines but this amazing toy just waiting to be bought by me! Metal Sonic has always been a favorite of mine from the Sonic-verse. He was one of the few villains to actually give Sonic a challenge (unlike Eggman who constantly failed), and how many villains challenge Sonic to a race instead of fighting him? Across time no less? So, sit back and enjoy the ride as I take a look at the Toys R Us Exclusive Metal Sonic!

Now before I go onto how amazing this figure is, there is one little flaw that I'm sure you can see in the picture. It's those little splotches on his silver mouth. Now, that isn't a universal problem. When you go to Toys R Us to buy Metal Sonic, just look and make sure the paint isn't messed up in that area. Now that that's out of the way, let's go onto why you need to own this figure right now!

THERE IS...

...SO MUCH DETAIL!
Jazware's does an amazing job of putting tons of love into this thing! You see that first pic up there? That's from the BOTTOM OF THE FOOT! They added jet boosters there just to keep it with the character. That turbine on the back of the Metal Sonic is also wonderfully detailed, and please note that this figure is only $16 U.S Retail. For something that inexpensive, the detail is astonishing.

Now this guy, as you can see from the pictures above, is very, very poseable. He has ball joints in the arms, elbows, wrists, thumbs, and especially his head. If you wanted this thing to pose in any way he can defiantly do it! This figure has no accessories to speak of, but to compensate, it's time for some SIZE COMPARISONS!
Metal Sonic is about 10 inches tall. Here he is standing next to Shirou, who is normal Figma size. As you can tell, Metal Sonic towers over Shirou, and of course Shirou doesn't like that ... SO THEY FIGHT!
Once again I show cool poses you can do with Metal Sonic by having Shirou fight him! Of course that fight was a deadlocked battle that no mortal man can witness without being brought into the fray, but afterwards Metal Sonic was heard saying "Stupid brown meat bag arm!" Now we see how he compares to a Figma, but what about to OPTIMUS PRIME?

This is the metal speedster compared with Revenger Of The Fallen Leader Class: Optimus Prime, a toy that is amazing and goes for about $40 retail. The sheer fact that a figure that's half that is very near Leader Optimus Prime's quality is truly awesome! Now for those of you don't know, Movie Optimus Prime is kind of crazy and has a habit of stealing people's faces. He wants to add Metal Sonic's face to his collection! OH NO!
Metal Sonic responded to Optimus's threat by Prime straight in the gut! Since this is Metal Sonic, he hit him with a punch so fast that Optimus felt like he was hit 1000 times! Optimus ran off vowing to fight another day! Metal Sonic was heard saying after the battle "No mere robot is better then me!" and sped off into the night!

So, as you've seen this figure is amazing and if you are a fan of Sonic or even just a fan of action figures, this is a perfect one to get for either yourself or as a friend as a gift. I really can go on forever how much I love this figure, I hope this review helps portray that as much as I think it does!
