Joss Whedon and I go way back. TV shows that he's created account for nearly a third of my top ten. A die-hard Buffy: The Vampire Slayer fan, I must admit that Firefly stands above the rest. There was never a bad or even just kinda okay adventure in the series' run of 13 episodes and the film Serenity. Each one is likely better than 80% of the movies you would pay to see. I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new. You strike me as the sort of person who is down with the browncoats. You might also be aware that Jayne Cobb is now available for pre-order in an animated-style maquette. He will be the third release in QMx's Little Damn Heroes series. I'm going to have to be honest with you, I am sadly not as big a fan of these figures. The Malcom Reynolds figure really doesn't bear a resemblance to Nathan Fillion. Kaylee turned out better, but I just wasn't feeling anything from it. Jayne is definitely the first of the bunch that makes me take stock of my account balance, but it's not ripping the cash out of my hands. Wearing the hat his mother sent him and carrying Vera in hand, are both excellent touches. But that art style just leaves me flat. Still, though... Remember the part where it's Jayne? So, yeah, I'm totally tempted. There's only a thousand of these 4.5" resin casts that will be available when they ship in late November. So what do you think, are you full of hype over Serenity's resident public relations consultant all cutified?
