Last month, I got an e-mail from Quan Vu featuring a custom Marshall he'd done that had been turned into a cup of coffee. It was ridiculously adorable and you guys really seemed to enjoy it as well. Well, Quan's sent me info on a new custom piece he's been working on, a 4" Japanese wood kokeshi doll he called Aimi, "love beauty" in Japanese, and boy, does it live up to its name. Not only does Quan's style mesh very well with the traditional Japanese kokeshi, but he's added a cute little touch with the cat face on the front of the figure's hair.
What's better, Aimi is indeed available for the low price of US$55, so you can buy her if you'd like, Colette. Yes, I'm singling you out because I know you've read this far and you desperately want it now. Just pick your jaw up of the floor, head on over to Quan's store, plop down your money and wait patiently by the mail box. You can thank me later.
