The artist alley at this year's Anime Expo didn't have too much to offer in the way of amature customs, but that didn't stop us from looking. After skimming through the community blogs, we noticed that our very own Somakun would be setting up shop, and we wanted to stop on by to see what he had on display. Thanks to our photographer Ace0fClub5, we managed to snag some beautiful shots of the custom Prinnies, Okami, and other offerings he had on the table. We were also impressed with the custom drills he had made, which even lit up. I encourage you all to check out his blog for some shots of his work while they were still in progress.
Of course, there were other offerings to be had at the arist alley. I scored myself a wonderful picture of Hatsune Miku covered in blood, but I have yet to photograph it for everyone to see. We also ran into some custom stuffed animals from Bleach, and Totoro which were actually pretty cute. You'll have to forgive my fat face for being in the picture, but I couldn't help it. They were fun to hug. We'll have a few more posts from Anime Expo as the week goes on. There was a wonderful panel on how to build from a garage kit which I'm sure you'll all love to hear about, so if you're interested, keep an eye out.
