Show and Tell: Overlord Minions
by Rio McCarthy on 06/26/2009 2 comments

Overlord was one of the games I had the most fun with in 2007, and now its sequel comes to bring me more joy. Actually, not just a sequel on 360 and PS3, but also Overlord: Minions for DS and Overlord: Dark Legend for the Wii.

With the recent release of the new games, if you were one of the people who pre-ordered them you could have received the Minion figures. Just like in the game, there are four different types of minions and I've learned that they get up to quite a bunch of mischief when left alone.

Hit the jump to see what they got up to!

Overlord Minions

First off, they have some pretty neat boxes, especially for being freebie items. Depending on which of the minions you got, you'll get that specific color on the box, which at least makes it a little easier to get the color you want without having to fight with the stupid styrofoam that's inside the box.

Overlord Minions

Apparently the minions thought it'd be a good idea to go outdoors in the middle of the sweltering heat, and therefore they got in a fog. Perhaps they were in the middle of a marsh, or perhaps my camera's lens fogged over due to the heat... We'll never know.

Once it got dark outside, they decided it would be a better and a bit more cooler of a time to go out to cause some mischief. The poor green minion almost got lost in the grassy jungle that is my backyard.

Overlord Minions

They moved into the flower bed, which apparently I've learned that the red one like to eat leaves. We barely got out of there before he tried to devour the entire plant. It was pretty ridiculous, but you know how they can be.

Then they moved onto the bunnies, who weren't having it and just went about their own business. They weren't impressed by the poor minions attempt to scare them, and just absolutely ignored them.

Overlord Minions

After the rest of the minions went inside, Blue decided to stay out and gaze at the moon. He was completely mesmerized by how it looked out there even in the city.

Overlord Minions

These little guys stand around 3 inches tall and would love to come home with you and terrorize your house, as that's what they do best. You might be able to still find them at your local Gamestop, but if not I'm sure they'll surface on eBay before long. If you're a fan of Overlord you'll most likely dig these figures, as I know I do.
