DokiDoki Majo Shinpan! 2 And Collection Updates :)
by jlanphear on 05/13/2009 5 comments

Well, it has been QUITE some time since I last posted a community blog here on Tomopop, and even longer since I've updated you all on my collection, which hasn't grown too much since you first saw it, but I suppose it's at least worth mentioning.

A few days ago, I received the Limited Edition bundle of SNK Playmore's DokiDoki Majo Shinpan! 2 DUO for the Nintendo DS. It's a fantastic little bundle that came with quite a few goodies, including two absolutely adorable figures of two of the games main female characters. Also, yes, I knew what the game was when I bought it. That is why I bought it hahaha. . . :D

When I first opened and seen the box I got all excited because it's packaged beautifully.

When you open it the first thing you see are the two small included figures.

Here's the bundle completely emptied. Quite a haul for a single bundle I would say.

The game, with its interesting box art, as well as the games original soundtrack.

The included cell phone charm strap, and a small book that was included that includes nearly anything a book would include. Calendar, Address Book, Notebook, Sketchbook. . . this thing is EVERYTHING.

The figures are actually larger than they seem, due to the fact that they came in pieces and had to be assembled. I was disappointed with their quality at first, but after they're put together, they're actually quite nice.

Now, on to my updated collection. :)

Most of my new figures are Revoltechs, with a single Figma among them. Still not too large, but slowly and surely it's growing, and looking good. :)

Here's a picture of my lower shelf. This shelf features my Sora Formation Arts, DokiDoki figures, Dante Revoltech, Kagamine Len Figma, and my Labbit (which is being used as a bookend). There's also a few games and books on there too to provide some atmosphere.

Here's my upper shelf which is about half the length of my lower (creates a pretty nice look). This shelf features my Evangelion Unit 01 Revoltech, my EVA 1.0 Be@rbrick, my limited edition Spawn Be@rbrick, my Pillows mascot Be@rbrick, my MAD Top Secret Dunny, and my Huck Gee Dunny.

Here's my whole collection (what's on display at least). I have more Dunny's and Be@rbricks, but I don't have them on display, since I don't have a whole lot of space at the moment. I actually really like the way they're displayed as the smaller shelf on top of the larger shelf creates a very modern and nice looking effect. :D

Well, as I said, it hasn't grown too much, but I'm getting to be relatively proud of what I do have and can't wait for it to grow more. :)

This is awesome. I'm a complete sucker for collector's edition of video games. I'm going to have to find my own copy. :)

I got SO close to buying that Doki Doki set and now I really regret not doing so. It's awesome and the figures are gorgeous! Ah well, I'm glad someone got them ^^

I remember around X-mas the Doki Doki set was less than $40 at Play-Asia, and seeing your unboxing makes me regret I didn't buy it >
Believe in me who believes in you!

Ahh, loved your collection!! The way you display them is so clean and neat... Waah, I'm definately going to clean my room @.@
And the Dante Revoltech looks better than I thought!
