A closer look at Wave's Rise
by Emily Smalara on 05/12/2009 12 comments

We recently mentioned Persona 4's Rise in passing during our coverage of Hobby Complex, but of course the greatness that is Persona deserves some focus all its own. If you're a JRPG fan, it's hard to dislike the series' unique flavor, particularly--in my not so humble opinion--that of the latest entry. I seem to be one of the few who prefers "P4" over last year's expansion to Persona 3, so it's only natural the lovely Rise catches my eye.

While disappointed over the role poor Rise was relegated to within the game, it's nice to see her getting some attention from Wave in the best possible way. They've managed to do their usual stellar job, and also went so far as to include her glasses as an accessory--as if there was any doubt! She's being released at what seems to be the new typical price point of 6800 yen, though fortunately with an October release there's plenty of time to save up.
