I Am 8-Bit, a yearly art show in LA in which artists show work inspired by classic video games, opens tonight. But for the past several weeks they've been promoting their show with marketing that could only come from a group of people that truly understand their audience.
The fliers for I Am 8-Bit, scattered about several toy retailers, can be cut and folded to create fictitious game cabinets and players. In addition to serving up a heaping helping of just plain awesome with their flier alone, a few limited edition variant fliers were released to several retailers. Turning what would've been just show promotion into an interactive, collectible pre-funk.
If you're in the LA area tonight, stop by the World of Wonder at 8 pm to soak up the beautiful art and scavenge some papercraft collectibles.
