This 4th of July, while everyone in the states is busy celebrating the birth of a nation by getting trashed and mutilating their friends with fireworks, the fine folks at NOWhere Limited will be opening the doors on its Nonpareil custom toy and sculpture art show. The show runs from July 4th to the 27th and features work from artists Bob Conge, Mike Slobot, Miscreation, Brandon Bird and more.
While the show has quite a few fantastic pieces lined up for your enjoyment, one stands out above the rest. You may know him as Lennie Brisco, the hard-nosed, wise-cracking detective from Law and Order. But Brandon Bird has gone behind the khaki trench coat to reveal Lennie's true form, a stealth-armored badass on a mission to clean up the mean streets of NYC.
If you're in Nederland, CO this 4th of July, you owe it to yourself to make the trip to NOWhere Limited's show if for no other reason than to bask in the glory that is a psuedo-futuristic Lennie Briscoe. Keep your eyes on NOWhere Limited's exhibits page, as the pieces from the show will be made available for purchase soon.
If there is a just and loving God, Jerry Orbach (the actor who played Lennie Briscoe) never died, and was simply whisked into space and outfitted in a suit such as the one viewable below. Now he spends his days selflessly battling aliens for the fate of the universe. A man can dream, right?
