One Piece is still running strong and so are its line of figures from MegaHouse. The company has released figure after figure after figure from its amazing Portrait of Pirate series. Granted the molds are not jaw-dropping gorgeous but they are satisfactory in bringing the cast of One Piece to PVC form.
MegaHouse has opened two new preorders as a part of the 1/8 scale "Strong World" series of Portrait of Pirates with the first being version 2 of Roronoa Zoro. Zoro is dressed this time in a suit which screams all levels of hotness especially with the loose tie and opened shirt. Zoro still manages to be bad ass with interchangeable arms and the ability to equip all three swords. Awesome work from Takashi Fukuda.
Can't say the same for Nami. Coming from Ajiken who did the lovely Nico Robin comes the ending version of Nami. I understand Nami suffers from the horrible anime syndrome of fluctuating bust size but this one takes the cake. The informal term "bazooms" would fit here as that's the sound effect I'm hearing from these floatation devices. This is just ridiculous. Also, the "dress in button up only" thing has been done a thousand times over. Seriously, MegaHouse?
Zoro retails for 6,000 yen and is available for preorder at AmiAmi and Hobby Search. Nami is also available to preorder at AmiAmi and Hobby Search for a retail price of 5,300 yen. Wow, you get less, you pay less. That's rare. Both pirates will be available in late September.
