Need a nice romantic gift this Valentines day? Have a fan of Spider-Man or zombies or gothy stuff? Well I've the statue for you. I just have to show it off. Based on the Spider-Man Giant Size Annual where Spider-Man finally marries Mary Jane, except their flesh eating creatures of the night!
Take a look after the jump.
Robert Kirkman started this comic called "Marvel Zombies" a few years back. Its a story arc that came out of Ultimate Fantastic Four storyline, involving alternate alternate universes. I think I just alienated all but the hardest of hardcore multiverse Exiles and Sliders fans. Besides the content of the first zombie book, what really stood out from it and its sequels are the covers. Riffs on famous marvel covers, but with zombies!
This is it, the original wedding issue. I didn't want to say this, but I sort of have to. If only to fluff this out and make it look like I said something instead of just posting photos. Unless you want just photos, I can do that. Anyway, here's a thought: how does Electro walk through doors? He's the guy with lighting bolts on his face, bottom left hand corner. The jerk in a bright green outfit, yellow gloves, and squiggly lighting mask. Wouldn't he get stuck? Does he turn his face sideways to walk through? Wouldn't he just hit the top spike on the door? That just struck me to say that.

And now, as seen on issue 5 of Marvel Zombies. I find this romantic. Especially note Human Torch, he's gone from a burning man to a burning skeleton man.
Marvel immortalized that cover in this glamorous statue. It's the type of kitsch I love. Something so bizarre and strange, you can't not put it somewhere everyone would see it. Owning a lot of toys wouldn't matter as this thing would stand out. Look at it. Then scroll back up and read this: I can't remember if this was before or after the spider-baby stuff in the old storylines. My Spider-Man knowledge might be vast, but the sliding timeline and my own insanity make it hard to keep what happened when straight. I ask that, because well, my mind went there. Sorry.

What's really funny is that I found someone using it as wedding cake top.

BONUS! HOLY SMOKES!
Our bonus toy isn't so much a toy as a funny photo. It's of a wedding cake topper I found when hunting for the Spider-Man ones. It's probably the cutest thing I've seen in the last ten minutes and if or when I get married, I'll have to use this. This or the Spider-Man and Mary Jane as zombies.
