What does Disney do when the newest Sentai series is just too Japanese? Amidst the swirl of rumors over the past couple of years that Power Rangers as we know it would be cancelled, that's sort of true. However, what Disney and Bandai have decided to do is to capitalize off nostalgia and rebroadcast the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series complete with a digital remaster and brand new toy line.
The toyline will feature all-new molds, so a definite improvement from the original line. When I say improvement, I mean that the girls with actually have breasts and skirt. Oh, and respectable articulation, that too. As to far as what's going to be released, it's a great selection. All original 6 rangers, Alpha with Zordon, Goldar, and the Puddy Patrol are among the first figures to be released. As for the big boys, yes, all of the Zords are coming back (including the Dragon Zord), along with morphers and the Dragon Dagger.
For those that missed out on phenomenon, feeling nostalgic, or hate the prices on eBay, this line is a God send. Figures are slowly making their way to stores, with reports of them being available at select WalMart and Toys R Us stores. Figures range in price from $6.99 to $19.99.
