I recently shared photos of Eric Wirjanata's newest project, The Neighborhood, and now he has kindly shared images of four new friends that will be joining them in his solo exhibition at Plastic Culture. Starting on September 3rd you'll be able to check out Eric's solo exhibition, "Things Aren't Getting Any Prettier In This Neighborhood", and meet all of these friends for yourself. First up are the Black Evil Servants, who are a gang that are trying to look cool by using a scary name. tBES usually just spend their time scamming people since they don't have much to do. They've been a nemesis of the Deadly Duo, but are mostly just a couple kids with ugly outfits. The first is Kaizer, who is the boss. He has two faces, which makes it incredibly easy to tell that you can't trust this guy. He steals and scams everyone with everything, from credit cards to selling bootlegged DVDs. Kween is Kaizer's right hand, and possibly his lover too, some might say. Kween usually has a big part in the tBES scam strategy. Next up are the Trashbots, who are robots that come from the future. Most of them are retired mercenaries, and the one joining us today is Ultrabot. Ultrabot is a very old robot with his design being inspired by old Tokusatsu movies from Japan. He's not as deadly as he was in his younger days, but sometimes its motherboard would make him go berserk and cause chaotic trouble. Be sure to keep checking Thunder Panda for all of the new information on Eric's latest escapades, and a big thanks to him again for passing along the fabulous new pictures. If any of you live near Jakarta, Indonesia I would definitely suggest you check out the show as well. It's already shaping up to be quite the exhibition!

I recently teased you with a piece of Troy Stith's newest project, The Miscreants, but today we can see four of these little guys in all their glory. Kronstosis, Ferndred, Loafler and Typhlozar will be going up for sale on Monday, August 16th at 12 p.m. EST through the Gorilla Mouth Big Cartel Shop for just $20 to $35 plus shipping. This is a great and inexpensive way to get your hands on some of Troy's fabulous new work. I would definitely suggest heading to the shop early to make sure you get the Miscreant of your choice, and don't dilly dally, as you never know how long these will last! These are handmade plaques after all, and extremely well done, so I can only assume they'll sell out in no time. Don't forget to check out the Gorilla Mouth Blog for upcoming information from Troy himself as well. Hit the jump to read all of their stories and figure out which one you're going to try and nab from his store come August 16th!

You met Roxybot recently, but now it's time to meet the second of the new robots from Stuffed Robot — Zombot. This zombie robot is limited to 100 units and has quite the story behind him. In fact, you might notice that the only thing left is his head. Well, get this — he ate the rest of his own body! Yeah, this robot is definitely nutty, so you should be sure to check out the fun we had on our photoshoot. Hit the jump to see what craziness went down, and what shenanigans we got in to!

There were one hundred of these fantastically hot pink robots made, and at last, one has made its way to my house! Roxybot arrived safe and sound, but immediately wanted to play guitar. She was modeled after past rock stars and was sure to be a crowd pleaser, but she soon began to have behavioral problems after the release of a successful album. Now that all of the Roxybots have been recalled, they're making their way into houses everywhere to try and get the second chance they deserve. Mine may still have a bit of a problem though since she says, "I took a chainsaw to all of my band member's instruments ... They didn't think it was as rockin' as I did." We'll just let that slide though, and I'm ready to share with you the newest masterpiece from Stuffed Robot — Roxybot! So, hit the jump and let's get rockin'!

Eric Wirjanata has a remarkable art style and is bringing it to new and exciting things in the very near future. He wants to build a city called the Neighborhood, which will house many nice (and not so nice) creatures including his older characters Lemi and TV Nino. For his first edition he brings some customs that have quite the personalities. Red Babo and Super Ox are a couple of the Evil Grin Batt Duo's nemeses, which is a long time rivalry that often leads them straight into trouble. Red Babo is a mechanic with brilliant ideas. He is always supporting Super Ox, a hard knox daredevil that claims he can jump a 99 story building. The Evil Grin Batt Duo, on the other hand, fetch an equally impressive story. One claims to have the power of 66 power wrestlers, while Batt Second can light himself in the dark. These two live in the suburb of the Neighborhood Town and are very mischievous. In other exciting news, Eric will be working with Plastic Culture to bring some cool long term ideas to life. These custom Uglydolls are just a start to the big things that are progressing in the future, and I'm so excited to see what comes about by the end of the year. Be sure to check out Eric's blog, Thunder Panda, to keep tabs on all of his future endeavors. I can't wait to see what comes next!

Today has become a day full of smiles and excitement thanks to one email! A fabulous reader sent me an email to let me know that my long plight over wanting to own the Lina Inverse plush I wrote about a few months ago is now available for order. Yes, this is a glorious day! In fact, I believe I placed my order for said plush in a record time of about 20 seconds. Then I ran around my room screaming and dancing in excitement, but.. nevermind that! You can order your very own Lina plush for just $12.95 over at GK World, which I would wholeheartedly tell you to do as a massive Slayers fan. Keep in mind that she is listed as backordered, so it could take one to three weeks before she'll ship out to you, but that's just a small price to pay for getting to finally own the plushie I wanted so badly. What are you waiting for fellow Slayers fans? Go get yours now! [Thanks Chelsea!]

If you've been reading Tomopop for any amount of time, you've probably seen my massive obsession with all things Disney. This of course extends over to Pixar as well, and I'm very excited to share with you the newest of Formation Arts sets from Square Enix, the Disney Pixar Formation Arts Chapters 13, 14 and 15. This set includes Ratatouille, WALL-E and Up, and was very well done. It's been a while since I last checked out a set of Formation Arts figures, but I'm glad I was able to. I had a lot of fun outdoors once again while taking photos of these fantastic figures, so if you'd like to see more, please hit the jump and see just why I was so happy when I received them.

A new project emerges from the creator of all my favorite foliage customs, Troy Stith. The project is called Miscreants and the first in the series is named Loopalitus. The Miscreants are one off plaques that are creations based on Troy's original sketches. The Miscreants' story is as follows: Some people have called them germs, while that may be true for some of these creatures, others are far worse than any disease could ever hope to be. The Miscreants are the grubby, evil, and sometimes mindless microscopic mutants lurking on everything and everyone we see or touch. Although we can't see them, it doesn't make them any less real. They're in the food we eat, on our pets, passed along with a handshake or a sneeze. No two Miscreants are alike and each one has it's own 'charm' to share with the world. Whether you want them to share with you is another story.
There is a possibility, if all goes well, that he will continue on and make resin toys based on these characters, but we'll have to see what the future holds. I, for one, definitely hope to see the resin toys one day because I'm loving this more monstrous side of Troy, and can't wait to see what Miscreant plaque comes next. There are no release dates for these yet, but be sure to keep an eye on the Gorilla Mouth blog to see more updates and information in the near future. I know I'll be watching it like a hawk, as you never know what this guy might come up with next!

I've never seen myself as a doll person. I never enjoyed playing with them as a kid, and the closest thing to a doll I owned recently were Hot Toys figures. That's all changed with Mattel's Monster High, and I am now all about them! It all started when my friend Psycho Soldier showed me the Frankie Stein doll she picked up, and I immediately fell in love. Mattel's Monster High series has some of the most awesome characters I've seen in an original toy line, and most of the students are the children of famous monsters. Frankie happens to be the daughter of Frankenstein and his bride, and things only get more hilarious from there! I've never been so excited about an original series like this, especially not with dolls. Hit the jump to learn more about my friend Frankie, as well as her fantastically ghoulish friends, with this totally creeptacular Show and Tell!

How I had previously never heard of Hakuouki I'll never know, but let me tell you I'm remedying that situation like.. NOW. As soon as I saw these hotties hit my inbox I knew it was something I'd be keeping my eyes on, and I've determined I'm madly in love with Movic for teasing these figures. Given my limited skills at reading things in Japanese, a.k.a. none, I've at least determined that 2011 will be a fabulous year for male figures. It looks as if Hijikata Toshizo, Okita Souji and Saito Hajime will be recreated in 1/10th scale figures, and while price is yet to be determined I can definitely say these will be going on my want list, assuming they look as good as they do in my head. The figures are based on the "battle version" outfits illustrated in the Hakuouki calendar. I'm so excited to see Saito, the leader of the third squad and master of the left hand sword technique, who just so happens to be my favorite of the hotties, and if I can only pick one it will definitely be him. Since I've got a while until more information will be released on the figures I think it's definitely time I catch up and watch some Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan and maybe try my hand at those otome games these boys are famous for. Until then, I'll be keeping an eye out for more information I can share, which I hope will be soon!
