Alright, so remember when I said it was just like their last one. I take that back. It's a bit more detailed than I first suspected, and these lovely photos really show us why. Aside from being an authentic, fully-realized 12 inch Iron Man, he's got a over 36 points of articulation. The most impressive part of this figure though would be the armor itself. The battle damage was well done, with realistic scratches and metallic paint. There's an expandable shoulder munitions pod, wrist gauntlet, a retractable countermeasure dispenser, deployable air flaps built into the back, and a working forearm rocket.
Sounds like a lot right? I'm not even finished yet. See more after the jump.
The eyes and ARC reactor light up, similar to that of the Kotobukiya Fine Art statue, though it isn't specified if the battery for the light is part of the figure itself or part of the stand. I'm guessing the figure. There are two interchangeable chest armors, seven--count that--seven interchangeable hands, including light up repulsor palms, and a damaged helmet as an accessory. The damaged helmet opens up to reveal Robert Downey Jr., which is kind of neat. The regular helmet doesn't though, as it's rigged for the eyes to light up.
Finally, the figure comes with deluxe base, but that's hardly a selling point given how awesome the rest of the figure sounds on its own. I'm sure I'm missing one or two more details but do you really need me to list any more of them? You should want this already, and let's be honest, for the price these Hot Toys figures usually go for, you'd be getting what you paid for.
They haven't put out an official price tag yet, or even a solid release date. What I do know is that we'll be seeing this either towards the end of the year, or sometime in the first quarter of 2010.
