Hey now!I woke up this morning to find news of a new Rob Zombie album being released and it occurred to me: Did nobody else on Tomopop show off the Rob Zombie cartoon toys?
At only 29.99 on Amazon for the two pack of 6" Suzi X and El Superbeasto, listed as being in stock, I'm ordering mine right now. I enjoyed the cartoon for what it was and would like to have these figures.

If you're unaware, Rob Zombie produced a cartoon last year. It was in development since before the time of the dinosaurs, but finally released last year. And it was a cartoon! I watched it. Only like an hour or so of cartoon, so it's great for a boring morning.
The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is on DVD now and I will end up purchasing it at some point. I want to pick up the comic books it came from, Spookshow International and El Superbeasto. I've been informed previously that the cartoon has some basis in the comics. Rob Zombie's rumored next movie being based on another comic property, it would make sense to pick up all his stuff. Yes, I like seeing pictures when I read. A visual aide is very handy to those with vivid imaginations. Otherwise I'm seeing things that aren't there. Like the scene in Frankenstein where the creature's rotting flesh begins to freeze. They were in the Arctic, so why not? Wouldn't it make sense? I was told I was wrong to focus on such a strange detail. That nobody in the history of reading the book thought that. Oh hey El Superbeasto! That's what we were talking about wasn't it?
About that cartoon, I recall several scenes with Nazi Zombies and Brian Posehn as a horny robot. I thought it was interesting. Not Hollywood interesting where they say interesting but mean crappy, I mean it was interesting. Things were going on that made me look at it and say "Well what's going on?" It had a suit wearing lucha libre wrestler, nazis, werewolves, nazi werewolves, nudity, and a African American character played by indie darling Rosario Dawson's Creek! If I had to compare it to anything, its sort of like Fritz the Cat. Ever see that one or it's sequel? These things used to be talked about by nerds everywhere we went. Now it's that sort of "adult" humor only talked about on internet blogs.
I really would like to purchase these. Thirty clamolas doesn't seem like too much for the set. Compared to other cartoons I've sat through, Superbeasto was entertaining. So why not buy the toys? Assuming Rob Zombie gets his movie check from the merchandising, I'll buy a pair.
