Disney's Muppet Vinylmation series mixes two things I long for
by Rio McCarthy on 10/01/2009 0 comments

Bork bork bork de bork! Ok, so I was originally apprehensive about the Vinylmation series, then the Cutesters series brought me in a bit, and now with the announcement at D23 about the Muppets Vinylmation series I absolutely have to get my hands on them or I'll lose my mind. I adore the Muppets, and to see them as adorable vinyl toys absolutely makes me squirm with delight.

It looks like Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Rizzo, Bean Bunny, Sweetums, Rowlf, Swedish Chef, Statler, Waldorf, Dr. Bunsen and Beaker will be in series #1, and while there are a couple characters I wish were there that are missing this is a great kick off series. It makes me insanely happy to see Rowlf, Swedish Chef and Beaker are all in the first series, that's for sure.

There is also a chase figure in every series, and while the creator would only say that 'Tourist Kermit' is not the chase figure, he wouldn't let out what the chase figure actually would be. I'm hoping maybe since Gonzo is nowhere in sight that maybe we get a Great Gonzo for the chase. You never know with the Vinylmation series, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these when they release in 2010.
